Tamika Reed has joined Siebert Williams Shank as senior vice president at its new Montgomery, Alabama, office.

Siebert Williams Shank hired two professionals for its municipal underwriting team and opened a new office in Montgomery, Alabama.

SWS hired Tamika Reed as senior vice president in the new Alabama office and Narineh Panosian as vice president in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

“Tamika is a super versatile public finance banker with deep experience in the field of law,” said Sean Werdlow, SWS head of Southeast region. “We’re extremely excited that she is bringing her considerable expertise to delivering the highest quality execution for our clients.”

“I’m really thrilled to join Siebert Williams Shank & Co.,” Reed said.

“They have helped finance some of the most important infrastructure projects in the country in recent years.”

Reed will handle state and local government municipal bond issuers in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and Arkansas.

Reed previously worked as a public finance banker at The Frazer Lanier Company in Montgomery. Prior to working in public finance, she was an attorney for the Alabama Education Association, where she represented public school education employees.

Reed is a board member for the National Women in Public Finance organization and is chairwoman of the Montgomery Health and Wellness Task Force.

In addition to the Alabama office, SWS has five offices in Florida, two in Georgia and 20 others outside the Southeast.

Narineh Panosian has joined Siebert Williams Shank’s Los Angeles office as vice president.

Panosian will support SWS’s work on K-14 school districts and community college districts throughout the West region.

“We are excited to have Narineh join our team and support our growth in the West region given her extensive banking experience, especially in the K-14 sector where we are focused on expanding our presence,” said Grace Yuen, SWS head of West region for municipal finance.

SWS said Panosian has deep experience in producing financial solutions for municipal and not-for-profit clients throughout the West Coast and has overseen funding plans for capital projects.

Panosian most recently worked in a senior role at the Los Angeles Metro transit agency, according to her LinkedIn profile. Before that she was a public finance investment banker at UBS and RBC Capital Markets.

“We will continue to be oportunistic by expanding our geographical reach and adding talent to help our muni issuer clients finance their burgeoning capital improvement needs,” said Gary Hall, SWS president of infrastructure and public finance.
