Boutyrski previously worked at Jefferies and Raymond James, executing deals totaling over $7.5 billion in par amount for a variety of California issuers, according to Baird.

Baracy welcomed Boutyrski aboard in a LinkedIn post, adding that he looks forward to continuing to build out the California team.

The firm has plans to continue to hire bankers to grow other sectors in California, Brian Brewer, Baird’s director of public finance, said in a statement.

Baird has 100 people working in public finance in 20 offices across 15 different states, Brewer said. The firm already had a California presence prior to the public finance launch, with 70 associates in seven locations working in fixed income sales and trading, wealth management, institutional equity and private equity.
